“One night the police showed up to arrest my grandma’s roommate for drug-related reasons, and they saw me in the house. They took me out of my home and placed me in temporary care. I remember having to move night after night for what seemed like two months. I was four. This memory always sticks with me because it was my first time in the system. The experience changed me and made me better at adapting.

What I learned? Say yes to every opportunity that comes your way… to be patient and understand that everything is a process. The puzzle will be complete when enough of its pieces come together. There is not one big puzzle piece that will solve everything. Every piece counts!”
