Elizabeth Maciaz / Keep your head up and don’t ever give up.

My most defining moment in the foster care system was getting moved from home to home because there were too many kids, then we ended up getting split up, and even after we all got split up we ended up moving around anyway, and not being stable.

My advice to someone in the foster care system now is to keep your head up and don’t ever give up. Follow your dreams and don’t let anyone tell you you can’t, because you can do anything through Christ who strengthens you.

The foster care system has taught me how to be more productive and take care of myself.

What I needed most when emancipating from the foster care system was support and help finding housing or resources.
