My biggest challenge was addressing the trauma from all the physical, mental and emotional abuse I endured. I am working through it with the support of my friends, therapist, and godparents.

In the foster care system, I would like to see less emphasis on just going to school and more emphasis on self-discovery and mental clarity.

I am proud that I have turned toward authenticity and found my creative and artistic voice. I'm currently making jewelry and selling it on Etsy. I have a heap of new skills like woodworking and silver smithing. In the future, I will have my own land with plants, animals, and a nice place to sit and watch the sunrise.

If I could give advice to others in foster care, it would be to take your time.

I know money is tight, but find creative ways to get money while still exploring who you are. GoFundMe, Youtube, or drop shipping can give you some side cash while you find out what you love.
